Once the weather started getting warm in June, our garden has really taken off!! Those extra loads of compost and all the preparation we have put into it have paid off nicely. :) We've harvested most of our peas, lettuce, and strawberries, and it looks like we should be getting some red tomatoes soon!! Here's a few pictures to document our success (since it's taken 3 years to get anything to grow.....)

I had this for lunch one day, and it was soooo yummy! The tomatoes weren't from our garden, or it would have been a perfect meal!
Our tomatoes were already getting too big for their cages, so we designed a fence system to let them grow up instead. It works much better, thanks to my friend Michelle who gave me the idea and has coached me through this whole gardening season :)

Looks like some good things are happening with your garden. We'll have to see how well your tomato fences work out. We're still not sold on our system but we haven't come up with anything better yet. If your system works good we may have to borrow it. ;)
