Easter!

This may be a long post, but we had a long and fun Easter!  We started out at our house, where the kids got to look for their colored eggs and some baskets.  Zachary was soooo excited that the Easter Bunny had come, since this is the first year he's really been old enough to understand it.

Waiting to go look for their eggs

Look, Mom!

The inevitable tears....

This girl LOVES her chocolate!!
After Church we went up to my Mom's for another easter egg hunt.  These eggs had candy in them, and the kids got a whole stash!

Daphne loved giving the eggs to baby Anthony

Then we headed over to my Dad's for a yummy dinner and some more Easter fun!  By the time we got home and put all their candy in a bag, they each had a gallon-size bag FULL.  Can you say spoiled?!?

Every time we go to my Dad's, Zachary has to put this pirate costume on :)

Daphne was giving her bunny hugs and kisses

Coloring Easter Eggs

One of the activities we did this week was to color easter eggs.  Zachary was super excited to color them, but he lost interest fairly quickly.  Daphne loved playing with the colors and seeing the pretty eggs when they were all done.

This year, we tried a kit where you drop color and an egg into a baggie, and then swish it all around.  No vinegar, not much mess, and lots of fun!

Helping Daddy

I wanted him to smile, and of course he wouldn't at first...

But I finally managed to get one!

Easter Week

Walking along the fountains

They didn't want to sit still and smile, they wanted to play!

These were the weirdest looking flowers I've seen, does anyone know what they are?

I try to do activities every day the week before Easter, to help the kids understand about how Christ died and was resurrected.  We didn't manage to hit every day, but one thing we did do was go visit the temple.  Last year we went to the Timpanogos temple, and it was freezing!  This year we decided to go to the Provo temple (I love how many temples we have close by!) and it was warm and beautiful.  The kids loved the fountains, and Zachary is very excited for when he is a Daddy and can go inside the temple.  :)
Blogger is doing weird things right now and won't let me put this paragraph at the top of the page :(

Score!! and other happenings...

Last week my friend called me and gave me a tip that some people were selling photo props at a garage sale nearby.  When I went to check it out I only found a couple of props that would work for me, but I did find some costumes and a bike helmet for $1 each!  Zachary absolutely loves to dress up, and he was soooo excited when he saw what I brought home.  Both kids insisted on wearing their costumes all day, and they were completely filthy by the end of the day.

This picture is out of order, but we spent most of the day getting our garden ready.  We set up the sprinklers and put up a fence, and it looks awesome!

We already have some peas, lettuce, cabbage, and onions growing!

Mr Incredible!!

so cute!

She must have been hot wearing this outside all day, but she wouldn't let me take it off
