Kimberlee's Wedding

My baby sister got married last week! I still think she's too young to get married (or maybe I'm too young for her to be getting married....) but everything turned out really nice. It rained the Entire week before, but Saturday morning dawned bright and beautiful. Everything fell into place at the last minute, and we couldn't have asked for a better day. Then on Sunday....you guessed it....rain for another week! Someone was definitely smiling down at her that day! I didn't get a ton of shots, but here are some of my favorites:

This was literally hours before the ceremony

Zachary wanted to help too, of course :)

A LOT of work has gone into this yard, and it turned out absolutely beautiful!

Here is the amazing cake that my grandma made. It should win a prize or something!!

All of the cute little flower girls. We made their dresses and they turned out super cute! As you can see, though, Daphne wanted nothing to do with the picture taking...

...and Zachary didn't like the pictures either!

I love these shots of them jumping on the tramp

Daphne walked up and down these steps for about 3 hours

This was our attempt at a family picture

Farm Country

One morning after reading a book about animals, Zachary told me that he wanted to go to the farm. It was a nice day (miraculously) so I told him that we could. Apparently a lot of other families had the same idea, but it was still fun.

This baby horse was really cute, and Daphne was petting it but I was too slow getting my camera...

Zachary LOVES riding the horses

Daphne figured out how to use my water bottle and carried it around most of the day

I let Zachary feed the goats some corn

Then a horse came up and bit his finger! Needless to say, it was time to go home!

Temple flowers

We went to my cousin's wedding at the Salt Lake Temple at the beginning of May, and the flowers were absolutely gorgeous!! Zachary and Daphne wouldn't let the cousins watch them during the sealing so Neil ended up staying with them while I went to the ceremony. The spirit in the sealing was awesome, and Neil got some cute pics of the kids, so I guess we got the best of both worlds :)

cheeks stuffed full of fruit snacks :)

Swingset!!!

I am behind on blogging (and everything else in my life, it seems) because we have been working hard at building our new SWINGSET!!! We bought it from Sams Club, and then had the fun task of putting it all together. And when I say all, I mean ALL. Every board and screw had to be put together individually. Let me tell you, it was a very daunting task, but I was up to the challenge :) I learned how to use a drill, and became a building fool. This was mostly because I was tired of hearing Zachary ask when it was going to be done, but also because it gave me a huge sense of accomplishment. The kids love it now that it's done, and I think it will be a real life-saver this summer.

Day 1: the frame

Day 2: the floors
Day 3: the roof

Day 4: the table

Day 5: Everything else! (yes, I worked on it for about 10 hours that day...)

April Snow

One morning at the end of April, I was awakened by Zachary yelling through the house, "MOM! I want to go play in the SNOW!!!" It was so cute that I couldn't even get mad at him for waking everybody up. So we all bundled up and went to play in the snow before it melted. Neil helped the kids build a snowman, and they all had a blast. :) Oh, and of course I had to take some pictures of my snow-covered tulips, because I am obsessed!

Doesn't he look like a model in this picture?

Opposites Day Fourteen: Black and White

I skipped day thirteen because we've building a swingset and I just haven't had time... For this assignment, we were just supposed to choose a picture to make black and white. I think some of the cutest black and white pictures are of babies, so here is the one I decided to do:

So precious!!! ISO 200, f/5.6, 1/100
