Digital Scrapbooking

So I got a digital scrapbooking program right before Daphne was born, but I haven't had any time to use it until just recently. I just finished my first album, and I'm quite proud of how it turned out!!!

4 Months Old!!

Okay, so I know Daphne is closer to 5 months old now, but I'm doing my best :) We love her so much and we're so glad that she is part of our family. She is a great baby, she's happy most of the time, and she sleeps really well, which I'm very grateful for!!! She smiles all the time and right now wants to grab everything in sight. She's rolled over a few times already, and she actually doesn't mind tummy time, as opposed to her brother who screamed every time I put him on his tummy. We think she's pretty much the cutest thing ever, so here's some pics for you to enjoy!

Fourth of July

The fourth of July is definitely one of my favorite holidays. It probably has something to do with the fact that it's hot outside, there's always lots of good food, and I like fireworks. This year I decided to start the festivities early by going to the hot air balloon launch at 6 in the morning. I took Zachary with me and let Neil and Daphne sleep, but I thought that he would love seeing all the big balloons. He was excited at first, mostly because they were blowing fire into the balloons, but it was too windy for the balloons to actually take off. I think he got bored, plus he was really tired, so he was pretty grumpy for most of it. Oh, well, at least I had fun :)

It was a little chilly, so we had the kids all wrapped up

Yeah, this is pretty much the expression Zachary had the whole time....

This balloon was HUGE!! It was only up for a few minutes before the wind was too strong for it and they had to collapse it

Later in the day we went up to Bountiful for a BBQ. There was tons of good food and good company, and it was actually a pleasant day because of a cold front that had gone through. Sophie and Daphne had on matching dresses, so of course we had to get some pictures:

Aren't their little dresses adorable?

Daphne wasn't sure that she liked her cousin attacking her

And her eyes just kept getting bigger and bigger

Mom, I am soooo done!

And that night of course we went up to Davis to watch fireworks. We had a fun time playing before the fireworks started, and the kids had a great time with some glowsticks that we bought. It was really hard to get a picture because it was dark, but we made a cute little hat for Daphne.

Happy Fourth of July everyone!!

Universal Studios

On Saturday we went to Universal Studios. We didn't take very many pictures that day, but it was still fun! There was definitely a different feel than Disneyland and not as many things to do, but it was a little more relaxing and a good way to end our vacation. I didn't get any pictures of this, but at the end of the day we went to a waterworld show. Zachary absolutely loved it, and for weeks afterward he would say "and the jetskis, and the boat, and the airplane, and the fireworks go boom, boom, boom!!!" I think that was definitely a highlight for him....

The park closed at 7, so we decided to drive back to St George that night so that we could break up the driving and not have to get a hotel. Well, things took longer than expected (as they usually do) and we didn't end up getting to St George until about 4 in the morning. It was still nice to do it that way, though, because the kids slept most of the way and we were able to relax on Sunday. All in all it was a great vacation!!!

All 3 of them ended up liking the same sweatshirt. When we were in line for Shrek, one of the workers told us that it would cost us double if we were wearing clothes from another theme park ;)

Wow, it's tough to get a big family picture

This was part of the backlot tour. They used a real airplane to demolish because it was cheaper than starting from scratch!

Zachary loves his grandma

Disneyland Day 3

Day 3 we went to both parks and finished up the things we didn't get to do, or wanted to do again. It was a little colder that day, so I was really glad that I had Neil buy me a sweatshirt the night before because I forgot to pack one. We got the mandatory family picture in front of Mickey, and miraculously everyone looks good!

Gotta have a teacup picture :)

I didn't end up going on the teacups because Zachary wanted to ride the train in the dark to see the dinosaurs. The train that goes around the park has one section where it goes inside and there are a lot of dinosaurs, and he LOVED it! If he could have stayed on that train all day, I think he would have been happy. ;)

He also liked this little bug train

This picture is dark, but I think it's way cute!!!

I wanted to get a picture of Zachary with Mickey Mouse because whenever I asked him about Disneyland, he would say "going to see Mickey Mouse....and Pluto!!" I didn't want to wait in line at Mickey's house, and we ended up going past BOTH Mickey and Pluto with practically no line!!!

This picture looks like he didn't want to be there at all, but he really was excited to see Pluto....

All worn out at the end (or middle) of the day. By the end of the day, everyone's back and feet hurt so much that we could barely stand, but we definitely had a great time!!!
